Job Description:

Responsible for providing assistance to special needs students on a daily basis in an efficient and caring manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain professional behavior, appearance, and work ethic to represent the school district in a positive manner at all times.

Assist with wheelchairs and getting students to classroom on a daily basis.

Help students with breakfast and lunch. Assist with trash and trays when students are finished eating.

Change diapers and assist others with using the bathroom.

Monitor students in the classroom, outside for recess, and any other activities.

Assist with manipulatives on a daily basis.

Perform other related duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications:

Must have 60 hours of coursework at an institution of higher education; or passed the high-stakes test for highly qualified status.
