Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Leadership & Management
- Develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive K–12 athletic program
- Promote sportsmanship, character development, and student-athlete success
- Supervise and evaluate coaches and athletic staff
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and competitive athletic culture
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with district policies and state athletic association rules
- Maintain eligibility records and enforce academic standards for participation
- Manage risk, safety protocols, and emergency procedures
Scheduling & Operations
- Coordinate game schedules, transportation, and facility usage
- Oversee athletic events, including game-day operations and supervision
- Maintain athletic equipment and facilities
Budget & Fundraising
- Develop and manage the athletic department budget
- Oversee purchasing, inventory, and financial reporting
- Support fundraising efforts and community partnerships
Student Development
- Monitor academic progress and eligibility of student-athletes
- Encourage leadership, discipline, and teamwork among students
- Promote multi-sport participation and equitable opportunities
Communication & Community Relations
- Serve as liaison between school administration, coaches, parents, and community
- Communicate schedules, expectations, and program updates
- Represent the school at meetings, conferences, and events
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s preferred) in Education, Sports Management, or related field
- Previous coaching experience (4 years)
- Valid state teaching and/or administrator certification
- Experience in coaching, athletic administration, or school leadership
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
Working Conditions- Extended hours, including evenings and weekends
- Frequent attendance at athletic events and activities
- Occasional travel for competitions and meetings
