The purpose of this position is to provide support to classroom teachers, to develop and implement curriulum and instructional programs, and other activities to increase student achievement.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain professional behavior, appearance, and work ethic to represent the school district in a positive manner at all times.

Coordinate and/or provide professional development for teachers.

Assist with the development and alignment of the math curriculum.

Model/demonstrate best practices in math in classrooms with teachers and students.

Maintain knowledge of current research and best practices in math and share this information with teachers.

Assist in data disaggregation.

Assist teachers in methods of monitoring the progress of students.

Assist teachers in planning instruction based on math data within the school.

Assist teachers in developing appropriate lessons.

Assist principal in the assessment of the effectiveness of the school based math program.

Perform other related duties as required or assigned.

 

Qualifications:

Valid Arkansas Teacher’s Certificate, Bachelor’s degree, Master’s preferred.
