- Actively leads and participates with the coaching staff in the skill development of all players.
- Maintains an open line of communication with school and district administration.
- Helps in all aspects of the college recruiting process.
- Establishes a culture of respect among coaches, players, parents and community.
- Works directly with the booster club to enhance the overall relationship between the school staff and the school community.
- Communicates high expectations of all involved in the football program including school administration, staff, students, parents and community.
- Creates a culture and climate of academic and athletic success.
- Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
- Adheres to District, State and Arkansas Activities Association’s regulations regarding eligibility of players.
- Oversee all CFSD football programs from 7th through 12th
- Meets and instructs assigned academic classes.
- Plans a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students according to the school mission statement.
- Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students.
- Prepares for classes assigned, and shows written evidence of preparation upon request of immediate supervisor.
- Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and – in harmony with the goals – establishes clearly objectives for all lessons, units, projects and the like to communicate these objectives to students.
- Employs a variety of instructional techniques and technology consistent with the physical limitations of the location provided and the needs and capabilities of the individuals or student groups involved.
- Strives to implement, by instruction and action, the district’s philosophy of education and instructional goals and objectives.
- Assesses the accomplishments of students on a regular basis and provides progress reports as required.
- Maintains accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulations.
- Assists the administration in implementing all policies and/or rules governing student life.
- Develops reasonable rules of classroom behavior and procedure, and maintains order in a fair and just manner.
- Makes provisions for being available to students and parents for education related purposes outside the instructional day when required or requested to do so under reasonable terms.
- Strives to maintain and improve professional competence by attending professional development initiatives.
- Attends all staff meetings and serves on staff committees as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have experience as a head varsity football coach or three years’ experience as an offensive or defensive coordinator at the varsity level.
- Must have a valid Arkansas teacher’s license. Out of state applicants must for eligible for license through reciprocity.
- Must meet Arkansas State Department of Education requirements for coaching endorsement.
- Must meet Arkansas Activities Association requirements for coaches.
