Job Title: Special Education Secretary
Primary Job Description:
The Special Education Secretary provides confidential administrative
and clerical support to the Special Education Supervisor to ensure
compliance with federal, state and district regulations. This position is
responsible for maintaining accurate records, coordinating meetings,
managing data entry, and facilitating communication among staff,
parents, and outside agencies. The role requires strong organizational
skills, attention to detail, and positive interpersonal skills.
Records management & Compliance
*Maintain and organize special education due process records in
accordance with federal and state regulations.
*Manage confidential student files, including maintaining records for
dismissed, transferred, and graduated students.
*Ensure all documentation is accurate, complete, and securely stored.
*Complete eschool Cycle data entry and ensure it is completed on time.
*Complete Social Security documentation for students.
*Coordinate with educational examiner and related services providers
regarding testing schedules and annual documentation.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED required; office experience preferred.
Positive people skills and ability to handle confidential information.
